Husband and wife team Cynthia Eguez-Estland and Phillip Estlund
are graduates of the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Recent
transplants to South Florida, Cynthia and Phillip are sculptors
cum installation artists. About Grasscape Phillip was overheard
to say, "Is it emerging? Is it submerging? I don't know,
what do you think?" Light and receding construction play
optical tricks on the eye and the pieces appear organic despite
their obvious manmade origins.
